Hello all!
Sorry about my lack of posting (again). It's amazing how much a husband can screw with your schedule.
I've been keeping with my plan - as closely as possible. Changes from the past week and weekend are as follows:
- No Hikes (due to my lovely boss switching my lunch time for this week.
- Missed Wednesday and Thursday physical activity completely (once due to laziness and the other time because the gym was CLOSED!)
- Did about 70 minutes of running on Tuesday - but then ate tacos.
- Didn't work out all weekend - but watched my caloric in-take carefully.
I'm getting back on the saddle this week. Stay positive. That's the best medicine for a little guilt. Check out this little link (http://wayoftheduck.com/habit-manifesto) to get you going on a new habit. Follow this Buster Benson through the interwebs and you'll be motivated like no other. Habit forming awesome-ness! Super jazzed. (I went so far as to send him a little nerdy love e-mail... AND HE WROTE BACK! Nothings better than that!)
Today I've already had my Herbalife (still on a cookies and cream roll!). The PDM has been helping me to skip my mid-morning snack. I had to skip my lunch hike/jog again today. Hopefully for the last time as Marty will be back and able to cover my normal lunch time again. I went to Herbalife for lunch to pick up kitty litter and get a little product knowledge. Had soup (140 calories of chicken noodle with added frozen peas!) at about 1:45 p.m. Not hungry yet - but considering eating a few carrots to avoid being ravenous (my husband would claim it's closer to murderous...) when I get home.

Solid Week so far - New Enhancers!
It's been another standard week for me. I eat the same old same old. This week my exercise has been a little out of whack. Hiking everyday, except Monday and today. Tuesday and Thursday I did only my hike - due to taco-induced coma, and Thursday Dan came home! Friday my lunch got switched at work. Something that I really don't appreciate because it screws up my whole system... Other than that it's been Herbalife breakfast, Kale salad for lunch, and something within my calorie range for dinner. Visited the gym Monday, Wednesday, and plan to go for a bit tonight!
I have stopped taking my multi-vitamin though, and my morning nausea has stopped. I did get Cookies & Cream F1, Dutch Chocolate F1, Vanilla PDM, Thermo-bond, Cell-u-lose, and a BIG tea. The cookies and cream is so damn good - I would like to replace all of my meals with a shake. I have that extra protein now (PDM) so that my formula 1 lasts longer, and I feel much fuller. I haven't been getting as hungry between breakfast and lunch. A piece of fruit and my cup of coffee gets to me lunch without considering raiding the community fridge for goodies. I have been getting really hungry at about 2:30-3:00, which is a bummer. I'm working on a solution now. I have also been feeling a little extra bloated this week. It might due to stress/excitement about Dan's arrival - but I'm hoping the Cell-u-loss will help with any water weight gain. I might need to do a little Herbalife cleanse here soon (WARNING: My brain could potentially just be creating an excuse to buy more Herbalife...)
I just started my Therma-bond & Cell-u-loss yesterday. I'm going to try to stay on track - but I'm really bad with pills. I'm considering dividing them up into three different bottles so that I can keep one by my blender, one in my bathroom, and one in my purse... Like today, I forgot them all at home - so I'm only going to get one dose. Oops! Weekend update will be on it's way.
I think I like this schedule. Week day update, and then weekend. I'm going to be eating a little more than normal this weekend - but I'm hoping I can trick Dan into going to the gym or on a hike! I'll keep ya posted!

Continued after that short break!
Sorry about that interwebs!
I got a tad distracted. Rest assured that I can sum up the past week for you pretty quickly. I had a smoothie everyday for breakfast. Nausea still continued. I hiked/jogged everyday at work, with the exception of Friday where I didn't jog at all. Tuesday I had tacos for dinner, and for lunch everyday I had my Kale salad. I went to gym, in addition to the hike, every day but Tuesday. Wednesday I didn't work - so I just went to the gym and then beach! Still smoothie and kale salad for lunch - popcorn for dinner (bad me!) Friday I did a quick morning work out - only 45 minutes.
I was EXTRA bad Friday. I skipped dinner (naughty), went to a reggae concert, had two beers, and split a bratwurst/club sandwich/elephant ear for dinner.... Saturday I skipped the gym and opted for cleaning and errand running. I was having some strange tightness in my right quad. Not normal for me to have tightness there. Didn't do anything Saturday night besides catch up on my Grim.
Sunday, I woke up early and got new gear from Lululemon! So stoked about that. Then I went home - made a scramble, relaxed, updated some photo's my family wanted, went to the gym, cleaned some more, and had tacos for dinner with Lauren and Pat! Whew!
Now we're up to speed!

Looooong Weekend
This weekend seemed incredibly long, and not in a good way.
Friday, I woke up early and went to the gym. Had a pretty good run, about 30 minutes, spent a little less time lifting. Had my Herbalife for breakfast, and kale salad for lunch. I did a hike at lunch too, but no jogging this day. Just a nice hike. After work, I went home and made a quinoa salad for a bar-b-que at Lauren's house. For dinner, I had a HUGE hot dog with peppers on top, about a cup of my quinoa salad, and Lauren made this adorable little cupcake desserts. I drank about six beers and went to bed too late...
Saturday, I woke up. Had my Herbalife tea - and then went to San Juan to get a tasty recipe made Herbalife and some product knowledge. After that, Lauren and I were supposed to go to a baseball game down in San Diego, but we missed our train. I had maybe a cup of my quinoa salad for lunch (while speeding down the free-way). We made some mixed drinks - to get over the fact that we missed the most gorgeous part of the day in traffic and STILL didn't make it to the game. At around 8:30 we went out to eat. We shared a green salad (mixed green, spinach, tomatoes, FRESH croutons, carrots, cucumbers) and a 12' veggie pizza (my half without cheese). We went out to a restaurant that a new friend's girlfriend works at and she brought us some delicious dessert. It was sweet dough that was fried and then came with chocolate drizzle. Sorta like a piecy beignet. I had a old fashioned and then a whiskey and ginger ale.
I only slept 5-6 hours so Sunday was bust. I felt exhausted (and a little queasy). We went to Pipes where I got a breakfast burrito (eggs, sausage, cilantro, peppers) and some coffee. I went home and cleaned the whole house. Really slowly. I had my Herbalife for lunch, and a little more quinoa salad. For dinner I had a bowl of air-popped popcorn with 2 tbsp's of olive oil and some salt. Lauren is super evil and left three of her "healthy" cupcakes and of course, I ate them all.
This is pretty much how my weekend went. It was nice - not to be at work - but it was boring and, without Dan, kinda depressing. I didn't meet my exercise goal - but I'm gonna bring it this week and re-focus to what I (emphasis on the ME) want my next weekend to be.

Oh night-time...
I hope this doesn't get redundant... but...
I had my smoothie for breakfast. I STILL haven't been sleeping great - and I've woke up sorta nauseous. I'm thinking it's due to the new Herbalife vitamins that I'm taking. I'm hoping my stomach will get used to them. I woke up late and didn't have time to pack a lunch so I grabbed the Coconut Lemongrass Chicken Kashi meal out the fridge. To add a little extra calories, I added a chicken stir-fry that we made on Tuesday. I went for my normal hike/jog combo at work. Did a little more running than usual - yay!
At about 3ish, I started to get a little hungry. I had a glass of water, but about 30 minutes later I decided to have my little greek yogurt treat. It's an 80 calorie pack (4 oz) of vanilla greek yogurt, time time I added about 3 crushed walnut halves, 1/4 a banana, and some frozen berries. It's a treat I really love.
I got home, made my normal green salad (except I'm out of spinach), and rather than make chicken (again!). I decided to try tuna patties. I used canned tuna, garlic, onion, cilantro, 1 tbsp of olive oil, a dash of balsamic, an egg white, and a sprinkle of Panko bread crumbs. Needless to say - it needed more bread crumbs to stay together. I basically ended up with heated up and slightly crunchy tuna. Better luck next time.
No gym for me tonight - I'm going to get things done around the house and try to be in bed early - so I can kill it tomorrow morning!

Hectic Wednesday.
Due to my margarita in-take last night (and not a great's night of sleep), I was less than thrilled about my day. I slept in, till about 6:15am, and then lazily got up to make my lunch. I drank my Herbalife tea while I got ready for the day. No work-out this morning. I did start my Herblife vitamins and Cell-Activator! I planned to start Tuesday, but then forgot. Went to work with a little headache, drank my smoothie, made coffee and worked away at my desk. I had half a peach and 4 oz of greek yogurt for a snack. I ate my kale salad (booooring) and then went for my hike.
I covered some new ground on a hike I usually do. I've never quite made it to the top. It is the trail that wraps around the apartments (for my future self), I made it all the way to the top. Or at least to where they gated it off because the tops isn't safe. In record time too! It took me about 50 minutes! I didn't have a late-afternoon snack, because I was so damn busy, and I worked until it was time to go home. I came home, made my cilantro, ginger, garlic, soy, olive oil glaze to go over two small tilapia filets with crunchy quinoa and a green salad.
Went for a little night work out. It seems the days when I plan to do a really quick work out that I go the furthest. I was only going to run a warm-up mile and then lift, but instead I ran for 30 minutes and did 3.25 miles. I followed up with 20 minutes of lifting to try to make it to bed on time. Which is what I need to do now!

Taco Tuesday - whoo!
TACO TUESDAY! I am new to California and this a phenomenon that I plan to take back to Colorado with me.
I started my day with a workout. My average work out is 20-30 minutes of cardio, and 20-30 minutes of lifting. Shooting for an hour total. Then I had my normal smoothie and kale salad for lunch. I was trying to be good and save myself for tacos later, so I just had an apple for snack. I went for a hike on my lunch break. It usually takes me about 50-55 minutes. Most of my routes are mostly up-hill the whole way out and down-hill the way back. I usual try to hike all the way up, taking about 2/3rds of my lunch time, and then jog back. It was a good one today! Nice and sweaty.
We went to La Siesta for tacos. I got there at 7:00pm, and we ordered food at 8:00pm, after two margaritas. I got a chicken taco, grilled fish taco, and a fried fish taco (oh my goodness yum). We then went to Beach Fire for a beer and some live music. I had half of mine, and then donated it to Lauren and came home and hit the sack. Looking back at my Fitness Pal, I earned 830 calories for tacos! Proud of that!

Good News!
Holy Smokes!
I went to the doctor today. And I weighed in at 148lbs. That is amazing for me. I haven't been under 150 in more than a year! I have been more fit at times, stronger at other, and squishier at the worst times. My last doctors appointment, about 4 months prior, I weighed in at 159lbs. I'm pretty proud of my success.
Hopefully it's thanks to my diet!
This morning I had my regular smoothie, my kale salad for lunch, and a green salad with steamed chicken. At lunch I had a little treat of chocolate! It was this "Unreal" brand that has less additives. They were delicious. I felt good. I was distracted and it was wonderful.
I skipped any physical activity. Last week I went strong Monday, taking off Friday, through Sunday. I got one of the best nights of sleep.

Winning Sunday
Today was a pretty darn good day!
I woke up, had coffee and Herbalife with Lauren. She left at about 10:45am, and I cleaned for an hour. I went to the pool and laid out and read for 2 1/2 hours, and came home and had a great big green salad. 1/3rd of the way through I realized I was missing avocado - so I went back added more romaine (which is on it's way out to the trash), and added my avocado. About two hours later, I was feeling a little hungry and craving a smoothie. So I made a Herbalife smoothie with fresh strawberries. It was so good. I went to gym for an hour at about 7:30, ran for 30 minutes (first two miles at about 6.7 and then 10 minutes intervals with walking and sprinting). I continued to stay and lift for 30 minutes. I worked on triceps pull down, biceps curl, military press, chest fly, lat pull down down, split squats, and some seated calf extensions. I was feeling good, and under my caloric goal for the day, so I came home turned on True Blood and made some air-popped popcorn with a little bit of olive oil and salt. Pretty nice Sunday.

Hungry Saturday!
I had Herbalife for breakfast - it was delicious. Nice and thick! It was really delicious. I ate my smoothie at about 10:00am, and at around 1:30 I went to the gym. I ran four miles, and was going to lift when I was called away for a little beach date! I scarfed down my sesame chicken (complete with a little bit of white rice and japanese salad). The beach was cold (super sad Caitlin), but we followed it up with dinner at Lauren's house. I had bbq chicken (breast, no skin) with a little bit of brown rice, asparagus, and a few slices of baguette bread. I followed it up with dessert (YUUUUUM) of brownie bites (2) with a scoop of mint ice cream. It was a pretty lovely day.

First Herbalife Breakfast
Power went out at my house last night. I had to make an escape to my friend Lauren's house. We stayed up late giggling - and so I missed my morning work out. I was able to get Herbalife though! I tried a new flavor: a mix of berry and cookies and cream. It was good not great. I also wasn't able to hike or jog at lunch because I didn't really get a lunch. I grabbed some low-far Garden Vegetable Pesto soup and half a Turkey, Avocado, BLT from Panera. I try to use the resources the internet provides (http://www.paneranutrition.com/) to log my calories - that meal was 410 calories.
I had a rough day at work. My boss was gone - luckily the phones were quick, but my "other" boss was flying off the handle about everything. So needless to say I did not want to come home and work out. Lauren was already at my house, and I had planned to take her out for her birthday we had un-logged sushi and a Sapporo. Then we went to a friends and enjoyed a few more beers. It was lovely! I was in bed by 1:00am.
I really enjoyed my Hebalife breakfast - which I drank between 9:00am-9:30am. But I was hungrier much faster than I imagined I would be. At about 11:00am I started to feel like I wanted a snack. I had a glass of water, and covered the clock on my computer and got back to work. I had my lunch at about 1:00pm. And I wasn't hungry again until 7, but I was ravenous!

First Day!
Today is a special day. Today is the day that I became a distributor for Herbalife! I don't quite know where this is going to go yet - but I hope to make new friends, inspire myself and others, and maybe make a little extra cash!
I plan to use this blog to initially track my progress. I'll be using the product that arrives in my sales kit to see how effective it is - and so that if (or really more likely when) I'm ready to promote it, I can speak from experience. I'm going to take a few pictures (before and after) and do my best to log my Herbalife in-take, eating, drinking, and work-outs. I will also log how I'm feeling, good or bad, and any positive or negative side effects! Look out Consumer Reports - I'm coming for you!
